As your 2007-2008 Lt. Governor
of Marketing I am committed to your success. I will focus on
enhancing your membership experience and helping you to grow
individually while helping our District grow collectively. Your
overall membership experience matters to me. It matters to me
why you joined, why you stay and how you will grow. I am confident
that the key to our success also lies in how well we work together.
I look for your active participation as we uncover ways to succeed
in the area of membership retention, membership growth and overall
membership experience.
For those who already know me you understand
that I believe firmly in servant leadership. In serving others
we grow. I need your help. Take a few minutes and share some
candid feedback with me regarding what we may do as a new leadership
team to better serve you. I plan to incorporate your feedback
into “Excellence in Action”. Bottom line, when you
succeed the District succeeds.
I am in the process of building a senior
leadership team focused on membership success. I need volunteers
to help lead the way.
Sameena Kahn has agreed to serve as the
new Recognition Chair for our Senior Marketing team. Her focus
will be to identify best practices and recognize excellence
in action throughout District 14. She is passionate about the
opportunity to serve in this capacity and welcomes your support.
Look for quarterly recognition events highlighting membership
“Excellence in Action”.
Other committees currently in progress
are Coach Chair, Corporate Club Chair, Dues Collection Chair,
Mentor/Sponsor Chair and Retention Chair. If you are interested
in actively participating feel free to contact me directly at

Members matter! Why is this so important?
Have you ever attended a Toastmasters club meeting where attendance
was below 10 members? What kind of experience does that yield?
A club needs members to keep its activities going. We need to
maintain membership strength of a minimum of 20 for any club
to function effectively without causing member burnout. What
kind of experience are you offering your club members? What
can we do differently to enhance the experience? Inquiring minds
want to know! We are also here to help. Let me hear from you.
I am excited to serve you as your Lt.
Governor of Marketing. I promise to focus my efforts on membership
retention, membership growth and your overall membership experience.
Together we will ensure that District 14 continues to grow.
Let’s put “Excellence in Action”
as we work together to strengthen our clubs, grow our membership
and improve overall membership experience.
Best regards,
Theresa Spralling, DTM
