Fellow Toastmasters, it is time to spread the word and
expand our membership. Our VP of Membership is sponsoring
a membership contest and membership drive which will
start on March 14 till April 24 ( 6 weeks). The member
receiving the most points will win a gift certificate.

BROKERS TOASTMASTERS CLUB
IMPROVES SPEAKING SKILLS IN THE NEW YEAR
A new Toastmasters club begins on January
2, 2008. The newest Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate Toastmasters
club will be held at the Northlake Office location at 4073
LaVista Rd. in Tucker. Members will meet weekly on Wednesday
nights, from 6 pm-7:30 pm. All meetings are open to the public.
“Show and Tell” meetings
will be held throughout the month of January with inspirational
speeches from accomplished Toastmasters who will relate how
they made it to the top. Featured speakers include Joy Lewis,
District Governor of Georgia Toastmasters, and Dwayne Smith,
2002 Toastmasters International World Speech Champion.
“These meetings are perfect for
anyone curious about how Toastmasters can help improve their
public speaking skills”, says Distinguished Toastmaster
Catherine Henderson. “Many people join Toastmasters
this time of year because they have made a New Year’s
resolution to improve their speaking abilities!”
Advanced Toastmaster and club sponsor,
Alex Pate, says he is looking forward to the new club. He
described the club vision as “Focusing on FUNdamentals:
Better Speaking, Better Thinking, and Better Listening.”
To join, there is a $78.00 initial fee
that covers start-up costs, training manuals, and dues. Annual
dues will be $78.00 beginning in March 2009.
In addition, the Metro Brokers Northlake
Toastmasters Club will be hosting some of the best speakers
in Georgia during the Advanced Speaker Series. Feel free to
come join in the fun beginning January 2, 2008.
Toastmasters International is the largest
public speaking organization in the world. The Northlake club
is one of two Toastmasters clubs hosted by Metro Brokers.
Its sister club was chartered last year and is located at
Metro Brokers’ Corporate Office at 5775 Glenridge Road
in Atlanta where meetings are held weekly on Monday nights
at 6 pm.
