Club Extension Corner

Can you REALLY have too much of a good thing?

As your 2010-11 District 14 Club Extension Chair (CEC) my goal is to help plant & sow the seeds of opportunity all across the state of Georgia so they can grow to great heights.

Ours is the largest in the world but there are so many more to serve.  Can there be truly too much of a good thing when we’re talking about Toastmasters?  I say no.  In this case excess doesn’t do harm, it does GREAT things!  By opening new clubs we add new talented, enthusiastic, and diverse people to our District whose blossoming confidence re-energizes our whole organization and perhaps reminds us all why we joined Toastmasters in the first place.

Part of the Mission of the District is…

“…to extend the network of clubs, thereby offering greater numbers of people the opportunity to benefit from the Toastmasters educational program…”.

When new club leads from Toastmasters World Headquarters and from YOU  come in my team and I will guide prospective club members through the chartering process and connect them with local Division leaders to help them locate a meeting site, learn best practices, complete paperwork, and build the best new Toastmasters club possible.

I look forward to working with all District officers on the great leadership opportunity we have in opening, sponsoring, and mentoring many, many new Georgia Toastmasters clubs this year!
