“Empowered to Succeed” towards the Growth of District 14”

Lana McFarlane, District CEC

The District 14 theme for 2009-2010, “Empowered to Succeed” is the fore-runner to the Mission of the District, which is…

“…to extend the network of clubs, thereby offering greater numbers of people the opportunity to benefit from the Toastmasters educational program…” thereby, being Empowered to Succeed in personal Growth and Leadership.

Starting new clubs is a great way to keep our Toastmasters promise and ensure a strong legacy for District 14. My responsibility as District Club Extension Chair (CEC) is to serve the District in communicating leads received from Toastmasters World Headquarters and other resources in our Division. To assist with questions including but not limited to the charter process, sponsoring and mentoring new clubs.

This year, our goal is to open, at a minimum, one new club per area!
